Back at it?

Hello herbal friends!

Happy Spring. We just had a couple days of heavy rain which was so needed, but I believe we won’t see much more until fall. Today everything is glistening: the sun shines, the plants sing thanks, and the air is so fresh and crisp it appears to sparkle. I LOVE the day after a good rain. It’s as if you suddenly put on a pair of glasses that make you see everything more clearly, internally and externally. With spring in full swing and my family and I crawling out from under our winter den, I feel inspired to get busy.

On Sept. 26, 2008 we were blessed with the powerful, magical, natural birth of our daughter, Kamaela Rose. I can hardly believe that she is 7 mos. old and crawling all over the house. She is keeping us busy. She is the most perfect, beautiful, loving creature I’ve ever met. She is going to be very busy hanging out with mama doing herbal projects this summer.

So, as for the business; I will be adding new products to the website soon that will be available for online purchasing (besides the few that are already listed). If you need something and you don’t see it listed in the products yet, just contact me, chances are, I have it and haven’t added to the site yet. I will be showing up at the Weaverville Farmers Market which starts on Weds. May 27 from 4-7 pm. Come down and visit the farmers and crafters who have emerged for the spring. Besides that, I still have herbal displays in Mountain Marketlace and Mamma Llama coffeshop on Main St. in Weaverville, check them out and visit my website often. Updates are in store. Until then, go frolic in the sun and take deep inhales of the sweet blossoms and clean air (hopefully you live in a place where that is possible).

So, just when I was starting to get the hang of the website thing and feeling accomplished, my computer died. It’s been out of commission for almost two weeks now. I’ve been trying not to stress about it too much, and just go with the flow. Which is flowing quickly as usual. I’m in serious countdown mode to the birth of our child, only a little over 3 weeks until the due date. So, anytime now. We are also getting ready to move into a new house. My partner Stevo has been working hard, despite his recently fractured and broken ribs, the ready the place for our arrival. Which has included, digging a well, tearing off and re-roofing the garage, texturing and painting the upstairs rooms, and much more. We have had a lot of help from our parents and the property owners’ family as well. We are very blessed! So…. the website has slipped away, but I’ll get back to it someday.

Finally I have a website, I’ve been talking about it for years. Now I have some time to work on it and add to it and hopefully write posts often. I would love this site to be interesting, informative, and interactive, so if anyone has ideas or suggestions, let me know. It will be a place to purchase my products but I would also like to provide a forum for information sharing, questions, and discussion. Please feel free to contribute!
